ABOUT ANDREA
Andrea Shaia Bade joined Shaia’s Law in 2022. Andrea is Tom’s daughter and has followed in his footsteps, not only by becoming a lawyer, but also by attending his alma mater, Case Western Reserve School of Law. In 2020, Andrea graduated in the top 20% of her class. She immediately accepted a position at Hanover Circuit Court as a Judicial Law Clerk. Part of her duties consisted of writing judicial orders and drafting judicial opinions. In 2021, Andrea joined Friedman, Framme, & Thursh, P. A. as a general practitioner. Through this firm, she gained experience in many Virginia courts. In 2022, Andrea decided to join forces with her father Tom. She knows there is no one better to continue learning law from than a 30-year public servant of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Andrea practices throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, including: Henrico, Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover, Middlesex, Goochland, York, Hampton, Suffolk, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, Caroline, and other nearby jurisdictions.
EXPERIENCE
Andrea’s other work experience includes:

Lake County Public Defenders, which was her first litigating experience. She represented juveniles on all types of criminal offenses, as well as represented adults on select matters.

Shaker Heights Municipal Court as a law clerk for the judges

Case Western Jessup International Moot Court Team as a member and Captain. She placed 9th as best oralist in the regions.
Andrea also has a passion for representing children, and is now certified as a Guardian ad litem. A Guardian ad litem’s job is to represent the best interest of the child. This includes civil cases (such as matters involving custody, visitation, and divorce), and in criminal cases when a juvenile is charged with a crime.
